Cabinet Refinishing and Painting in Bakersfield, CA
Kitchen and bath cabinets refinished in place — a fraction of the cost of replacing them.
Refinishing cabinets means the boxes stay where they are. Doors and drawer fronts come off, get degreased, sanded and finished properly, and go back on the same hinges. The carcasses are prepared and coated in place. What you get is a kitchen that looks new for a fraction of what new cabinets cost, with much less disruption.
The part that decides whether it lasts is degreasing, and it is the step most often skipped. Kitchen cabinet doors around a range carry an invisible film of cooking oil that has been building for years. Paint over it and the finish will lift at exactly the points you touch most — the top edge of a lower door, the stiles either side of the sink. Every surface gets cleaned back before it is sanded, and it is the difference between a finish that holds for a decade and one that starts peeling inside a year.
Bathroom cabinets have a different problem: standing humidity, and water sitting at the bottom edge of a vanity door that nobody wipes. Those edges get sealed rather than just coated.
Custom wood finishing is available where you want the grain kept rather than covered — stains, clear finishes and matching an existing piece of furniture or trim. It is slower than painting and it is worth it on good timber.

Ray was great to work with very attentive and his response time was perfect. He did a fantastic paint job on my garage doors at a very reasonable price for the quality he provides. Would definitely recommend and will be using him again myself for any other painting project we might have.
Ray’s team did a great job on my house. They were all very friendly and let us know when they were going to arrive each day and kept the place clean as they worked. It’s nice to have a good crew when the job spans several days. The paint job was 5 stars with a good primer base and they got all the high points of the house and even painted the metal chimneys on the roof. I would definitely recommend them. I got exactly what I wanted, and the house looks great now. They did sanding, scraped all old paint where needed and caulked the windows before the job which nobody else said they would do. Thanks Ray, it was nice working with you!
Ray’s team did a great job on my garage doors. They had to cover a darker color that had become chalky, and used a superior product meant to withstand the sun on our west-facing doors. They were patient with me when I was unsure of which sheen I should use, and I’m very happy with the results! The new color matches the color of my home, which was also a concern of mine.
