Specialty and Tank Coatings in Bakersfield, CA
Internal and external tank coatings, secondary containment and protective coatings for steel and concrete in harsh service.
A specialty coating is chosen for what the surface has to survive rather than how it looks: chemical contact, constant moisture, abrasion, heat, UV, or repeated washdown. Tanks are the clearest example. The outside of a tank in the West Side oilfields is fighting sun and the daily swing in temperature; the inside is fighting whatever it holds. Those are two different coatings on the same piece of steel.
Internal tank coatings start with the tank emptied, cleaned and ventilated, and the steel blasted to the profile the coating calls for. External tank coatings, secondary containment areas, pipe and structural steel follow the same rule: preparation first, then a coating system matched to the service condition — epoxy, urethane and other high-performance coating types, selected for the job rather than out of habit.
Food processing and agricultural facilities have their own demand: surfaces that are hosed down every day and need a finish that will take it without lifting. Concrete in those settings is prepared and coated rather than painted.
The information that decides the specification is the substrate, what is on it now, what it is exposed to in service, and how long the asset can be out of service. Where an engineer or an owner already has a coating specification, we work to it.
What this covers

Ray was great to work with very attentive and his response time was perfect. He did a fantastic paint job on my garage doors at a very reasonable price for the quality he provides. Would definitely recommend and will be using him again myself for any other painting project we might have.
Ray’s team did a great job on my house. They were all very friendly and let us know when they were going to arrive each day and kept the place clean as they worked. It’s nice to have a good crew when the job spans several days. The paint job was 5 stars with a good primer base and they got all the high points of the house and even painted the metal chimneys on the roof. I would definitely recommend them. I got exactly what I wanted, and the house looks great now. They did sanding, scraped all old paint where needed and caulked the windows before the job which nobody else said they would do. Thanks Ray, it was nice working with you!
Ray’s team did a great job on my garage doors. They had to cover a darker color that had become chalky, and used a superior product meant to withstand the sun on our west-facing doors. They were patient with me when I was unsure of which sheen I should use, and I’m very happy with the results! The new color matches the color of my home, which was also a concern of mine.
