Residential, commercial & industrial painting in Arvin, CA
Painting in Arvin — fifteen miles southeast of Bakersfield, at the foot of the Tehachapis.
Of the Kern County towns we serve, Arvin is the closest to Bakersfield, and it sits right where the valley floor runs into the foot of the Tehachapi range, which gives it a mix of open farmland exposure and some shelter from the hills.
It is farming country and the buildings show it. Field dust settles constantly on anything with a westerly or southerly aspect, and it bonds on rather than sitting loose, so exterior work starts with a proper washdown. Skip that and the new coating is stuck to a layer of dust rather than to the wall, which is the most common reason a repaint fails early.
The position at the foot of the hills also means more air movement than the open valley, which is a mixed blessing: it dries a coating faster, which is useful in the cooler months and a problem in high summer, when a film that skins too quickly cannot level and leaves brush and lap marks. That is a reason to work early in the day rather than a reason to thin the paint.
Housing here is largely single-story stucco with tile or composition roofs, which means a lot of fascia and eaves — slow ladder work, and the part of an exterior most often skimped by whoever painted it last.

Ray was great to work with very attentive and his response time was perfect. He did a fantastic paint job on my garage doors at a very reasonable price for the quality he provides. Would definitely recommend and will be using him again myself for any other painting project we might have.
Ray’s team did a great job on my house. They were all very friendly and let us know when they were going to arrive each day and kept the place clean as they worked. It’s nice to have a good crew when the job spans several days. The paint job was 5 stars with a good primer base and they got all the high points of the house and even painted the metal chimneys on the roof. I would definitely recommend them. I got exactly what I wanted, and the house looks great now. They did sanding, scraped all old paint where needed and caulked the windows before the job which nobody else said they would do. Thanks Ray, it was nice working with you!
Ray’s team did a great job on my garage doors. They had to cover a darker color that had become chalky, and used a superior product meant to withstand the sun on our west-facing doors. They were patient with me when I was unsure of which sheen I should use, and I’m very happy with the results! The new color matches the color of my home, which was also a concern of mine.
