Residential, commercial & industrial painting in Wasco, CA
Painting in Wasco — valley heat, farm dust, and stucco that shows both.
Wasco sits out on the valley floor northwest of Bakersfield, low and flat and open, and the exposure is the thing. There is very little between a house here and the wind, which means dust arrives constantly and sun reaches walls that in a denser town would spend part of the day shaded.
The practical effect is that exterior coatings on the south and west sides age visibly faster than the north side of the same building, and it is normal rather than a defect. It is also why a repaint here is often only genuinely needed on two elevations, which is worth saying out loud because it is a smaller job than most people expect when they call.
Wind-driven dust also gets into the gaps between siding boards and behind fascia, and into window reveals. Blowing and washing those out before coating is what stops a new film failing along an edge six months later.
Tile roofs and the long, low rooflines common here mean a lot of fascia, soffit and eaves work, which is slow, ladder-heavy and the part of an exterior job most often skimped. It gets prepared the same as the walls.
Houses, farm buildings, storefronts and commercial premises.

Ray was great to work with very attentive and his response time was perfect. He did a fantastic paint job on my garage doors at a very reasonable price for the quality he provides. Would definitely recommend and will be using him again myself for any other painting project we might have.
Ray’s team did a great job on my house. They were all very friendly and let us know when they were going to arrive each day and kept the place clean as they worked. It’s nice to have a good crew when the job spans several days. The paint job was 5 stars with a good primer base and they got all the high points of the house and even painted the metal chimneys on the roof. I would definitely recommend them. I got exactly what I wanted, and the house looks great now. They did sanding, scraped all old paint where needed and caulked the windows before the job which nobody else said they would do. Thanks Ray, it was nice working with you!
Ray’s team did a great job on my garage doors. They had to cover a darker color that had become chalky, and used a superior product meant to withstand the sun on our west-facing doors. They were patient with me when I was unsure of which sheen I should use, and I’m very happy with the results! The new color matches the color of my home, which was also a concern of mine.
