Testimonials

What customers say

Published by Tinoco Painting, quoted as written.

Ray was great to work with very attentive and his response time was perfect. He did a fantastic paint job on my garage doors at a very reasonable price for the quality he provides. Would definitely recommend and will be using him again myself for any other painting project we might have.

Michele Stagi Customer testimonial

Ray’s team did a great job on my house. They were all very friendly and let us know when they were going to arrive each day and kept the place clean as they worked. It’s nice to have a good crew when the job spans several days. The paint job was 5 stars with a good primer base and they got all the high points of the house and even painted the metal chimneys on the roof. I would definitely recommend them. I got exactly what I wanted, and the house looks great now. They did sanding, scraped all old paint where needed and caulked the windows before the job which nobody else said they would do. Thanks Ray, it was nice working with you!

Mark OConnor Customer testimonial

Ray’s team did a great job on my garage doors. They had to cover a darker color that had become chalky, and used a superior product meant to withstand the sun on our west-facing doors. They were patient with me when I was unsure of which sheen I should use, and I’m very happy with the results! The new color matches the color of my home, which was also a concern of mine.

Why Tinoco Painting

Why people call

A licensed contractor, the preparation done properly, and paperwork you can check before anyone is on your property.

Licensed, bonded, covered — with the numbers

California license 1012030, C-33 Painting and Decorating, active through March 2028. A $25,000 contractor bond with Western Surety. Current workers’ compensation cover. The license number links to the state’s own register so you can verify all of it without taking anyone’s word for it.

The preparation is the job

Valley dust bonds onto stucco rather than sitting loose on it, so paint applied over an unwashed wall is stuck to the dust and not to the wall. Washing down, filling, caulking and sealing is most of the work and all of the reason a finish lasts.

Worked around the heat, not through it

Most coatings should not go onto a surface much above 90 degrees, and a west-facing stucco wall in a Bakersfield July is far hotter than the air. That means early starts and following the shade around a building. It takes longer. It is the only way the film behaves.

Family-owned, and you deal with Ray

Tinoco Painting is family-owned and has been working in Bakersfield since the license was issued in 2016. The person who quotes the job is the person answerable for it.

How it works

From the call to the last coat

  1. Call or text

Say what the job is and roughly how big — a room, a whole interior, an exterior, a kitchen of cabinets, a commercial unit. That is usually enough to know whether it needs looking at or can be talked through on the phone.

  2. It gets looked at before it gets priced

For anything exterior that means checking what is already on the wall and whether it is sound, because a new coat over a failing old one fails with it. For cabinets it means the condition of the doors and how much grease is on them. For industrial work it means the substrate and the service condition.

  3. A written quote, and the license to go with it

You get the scope, what is included, and the license, bond and workers’ compensation details. Check the license number on the state register before you agree to anything — that is what it is there for.

  4. Preparation, then paint

Washing down, filling, sanding, caulking, masking and protecting. In summer the exterior work follows the shade around the building rather than running straight through the afternoon, so the schedule may be earlier than you expect.

  5. Walk it before we leave

Go round it together while the ladders are still up. Anything that needs another pass is far easier to deal with before the site is packed down than after.
